Youth are surrounded and bombarded by media images which use sex to sell products. Sex appears glamorous and there are usually no negative consequences experienced. The conclusion could easily be drawn from the barrage of music, styles, and programming, that one must do and be what the images portray to have value and be accepted and loved. Our value does not come from dressing or being like what is portrayed in the media. We are each uniquely created and cherished by God who made us in His own image to reflect part of His own beauty.
Women are led to believe they need to use their bodies to "sell" themselves to males to receive their love. Men need to see a certain veiled mystique in a woman, in order to be truly attracted to the person she is, not to a body she is putting on display. Modest dressing by females who have confidence that it is not just their bodies that are attractive will help men to know there is more there that is worth getting to know.
